What Propels Us

PAiREGRINE is a high‑speed autonomous Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) jet UAV built to turn raw sensor data into real‑time mission advantage. The platform combines EO/IR, SAR, and hyperspectral sensors with onboard AI and edge computing to deliver actionable intelligence in contested environments.

AI is not a downstream analytics function here—it is the mission. This role exists to ensure sensor data becomes timely, reliable, and operationally meaningful insight while the aircraft is still in the air.

The Impact You’ll Make

You will own the onboard AI and data pipeline end‑to‑end—from dataset creation and model training to edge inference and mission‑level analytics. Your work determines what the aircraft can see, understand, and report in real time.

You’ll help PAiREGRINE make sense of imperfect, limited, and fast‑moving data—turning raw sensor streams into intelligence that actually drives decisions.

What will you actually do?

• Build and curate datasets, labeling pipelines, and training workflows for ISR tasks
• Develop machine learning models for detection, classification, and change detection
• Design and implement multi‑sensor fusion pipelines across EO/IR, SAR, and HSI data
• Train models using geospatial, remote sensing, and mission‑specific datasets
• Optimize models for onboard, edge‑constrained inference environments
• Define evaluation metrics and mission‑level analytics for ISR performance
• Support deployment, testing, and iteration of AI models on the UAV
• Work closely with autonomy, avionics, and systems teams to ensure tight integration

What You’ve Done

• Strong background in machine learning, data science, or applied AI
• Hands‑on experience with detection, classification, or sensor analytics models
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks
• Strong Python skills and experience building data pipelines
• Familiarity with computer vision, sensor fusion, or remote sensing data
• Comfort working with noisy, sparse, or imperfect real‑world datasets
• Experience optimizing models for performance‑constrained environments

Bonus Points

• Experience with geospatial AI, remote sensing, or ISR analytics
• Prior work deploying models on edge hardware (GPU, embedded, or constrained systems)
• Experience with small‑data regimes, active learning, or weak supervision
• Familiarity with onboard autonomy or real‑time inference systems
