New Country Healthcare is looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Animal Health Business Manager to establish and grow our Animal Health business in the UAE.

This is not a maintenance role. It is a business-building opportunity for someone who can develop the market, shape the portfolio, build principal relationships, expand channels, and create the commercial foundation for long-term growth.

Role Impact

You will lead the commercial and strategic development of a premium Animal Health portfolio across the UAE, working across veterinary clinics, hospitals, veterinary pharmacies, speciality pet retailers, Digital Commerce, Modern Trade, and other relevant channels.

The role starts as an individual contributor, with clear responsibility to build scalable processes, identify growth opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and contribute to building the future Animal Health team as the business expands.

What You Will Own

  • Develop and execute the Animal Health business and portfolio strategy across existing and new brands.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, market share, and customer adoption through strong commercial planning and execution.
  • Identify portfolio gaps, new product opportunities, brand partnerships, and principal relationships to support long-term growth.
  • Build and manage relationships with veterinarians, clinic owners, hospitals, veterinary pharmacies, speciality pet retailers, principals, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Develop go-to-market plans, pricing recommendations, promotional priorities, and channel strategies across Animal Healthcare, Digital Commerce, Modern Trade, and other relevant channels.
  • Lead annual business planning, commercial reviews, product launches, training initiatives, and growth discussions with principal partners.
  • Manage forecasting, demand planning, inventory health, launch readiness, and product lifecycle priorities in partnership with Supply Chain and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop customer education, technical seminars, product training, exhibitions, and veterinary engagement activities to strengthen market presence and advocacy.
  • Act as the internal Animal Health subject matter expert, providing commercial and scientific guidance across the organisation.
  • Establish scalable processes, performance metrics, and operating standards to support the growth of the Animal Health Business Unit.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Animal Health, Veterinary Healthcare, Pet Nutrition, Nutraceuticals, Pharmaceuticals or a related healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience managing and growing a business, portfolio, category or multiple brands with commercial accountability.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including business planning, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, profitability management and ROI-driven decision-making.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, product launches and channel development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the Animal Health market, including veterinary clinics, hospitals, veterinary pharmacies, specialty pet retail and Digital Commerce channels.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with principal partners, veterinarians, key customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and build a business from the ground up.

Nice to Have

  • UAE or GCC Animal Health market experience.
  • Experience working with multinational principals, international veterinary pharmaceutical companies, or global brand owners.
  • Exposure to Digital Commerce, Modern Trade, specialty pet retail, or omnichannel execution.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Animal Health, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of ERP, CRM, Power BI, Excel, digital marketing tools, or business intelligence platforms.

This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If

  • You prefer a fully established structure with fixed processes and limited ambiguity.
  • You are looking for a pure marketing execution role rather than a broader commercial leadership role.
  • You are not comfortable engaging directly with customers, principals, Sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • You prefer managing an existing team from day one rather than first building the business foundation.
  • You do not have exposure to animal health, veterinary, livestock, healthcare, or related commercial channels.
