Description To provide critical support in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions by performing and managing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves preparing patients, operating advanced diagnostic equipment, conducting non-invasive tests, and assisting in invasive procedures to assess and monitor heart and vascular health. Play a crucial role in ensuring accurate diagnostics, maintaining equipment, and supporting physicians to enhance patient outcomes in cardiovascular care.

  • Under direct supervision of the physician, prepares patients, assembles and operates hemodynamic and operates hemodynamic and electrophysiological equipment during interventional and diagnostic procedures.
  • Assists physicians in performing invasive procedures. Performs related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging techniques to demonstrate catheter location, position and document findings.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of stocks, supplies and clean work environment.
  • Works collaboratively with the Cath Lab team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care.
  • Participating in staff meetings, in-service, continuing education & quality improvement projects.
  • Setups and prepares the lab and necessary equipment & supplies for left and right heart catheterizations, diagnostic coronary & peripheral angiography, coronary & peripheral interventions, balloon valvuloplasty, EPS, ablations, pacemaker implantations, drug studies and other special procedures.
  • Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Observing patients for any adverse reactions during or after procedures.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with safety procedures and regulations in the use of cardiovascular diagnostic Equipment.
  • Maintains and operates cardiovascular diagnostic equipment.
  • Stays updated on the latest cardiovascular diagnostic technology and treatment methods.
  • Keeps tracking of patient data, interpret test results and report findings to physicians.
  • Assisting the Head of Department in preparation of annual equipment plan, budget & procurement.
  • Directing supply activities relative to ordering, receiving, rejecting, verifying, updating items used by unit to check the adequacy of laboratory supplies & purchasing.
  • Tests all equipment used for procedures. Ensures accurate calibration, functioning or image quality & quality assurance.
  • Operates fluoroscopic, cineangiography, contrast injection equipment on patient table. In addition, operates intra-aortic balloon pump, Cardiac Output Computer, pulse generators or any other necessary equipment under the direction of the physician.
  • Performs CPR when necessary, under the direction of physician.
  • Maintains data and images records in both computer and hard copy forms, CD archiving, hard copy EPS readouts for reviewing and records & generates reports.
  • Assists in the storage and retrieval of ala data and assists the physicians in research studies and testing of new equipment and products.
  • Assists other staff members in the transport of patients and inventory management as required.
  • Reviews equipment maintenance contracts for appropriateness and schedule of maintenance checks.
  • Trouble shoots and repairs minor equipment problems. Performs periodical function tests and quality control checks of the equipment.
  • Implements appropriate policies and procedures to achieve the Hospital's goals and objectives in pursuit of Standards of Care, Quality/ Performance Improvement.
  • Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if applicable.
  • Performs any other duties within the scope of the job.
  • Performing all duties and tasks in a manner that supports Fakeeh’s Person-Centered care values.
  • Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, within the scope of the role.

28 . Adherence to safety protocols and proactively seeking to address any job-related safety concerns.

29 . Maintaining strict confidentiality of all sensitive information accessed or encountered during work.

30 . Complying with cybersecurity policies and standards to protect Fakeeh’s systems and participating in awareness training and initiatives to prevent cyber threats.

31 . Adhering to and upholding Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, policies and ethical standards.

  • Completion of mandatory education as per the requirement, at least one month prior to expiration.

Requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field

Language: English & Arabic Preferable Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA)
