Job Description The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide essential support and compassionate care to patients under the supervision of nurses and physicians, with a strong emphasis on cultural sensitivity. CNAs assist with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, and mobility, while also performing vital signs checks, aiding in examinations, and maintaining patient documentation. They play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and safety, facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers, and respecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of each individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and physicians, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, feeding, dressing, meal assistance and mobility.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
  • Assist with patient examinations and procedures as directed by medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and update medical records as necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient care areas and equipment.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new staff or students when applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to facilitate care.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
  • Participate in mass-casualty drills twice a year and remain available for on-call coverage.
  • Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

  • Must hold an active, unrestricted CNA certification from a recognized training institution or home country equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of CNA experience within the past three years in a relevant healthcare setting.

Education Required

  • Completion of a CNA training program or equivalent.
  • Obtain provided Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Demands

  • Work is normally performed in a deployment work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • The ability to obtain a base security clearance.
  • Must be able to relocate to Qatar.
  • A valid passport from Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
