POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads the strategic direction, governance, and operational excellence of the Pharmacy Department to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medications across the hospital. Provides leadership in pharmaceutical care, formulary management, research, education, and regulatory compliance while advancing innovation and patient-centered outcomes. Aligns pharmacy services with the hospital’s strategic objectives and international accreditation standards

QUALIFICATIONS &
SKILLS:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Master’s in Pharmacy/Clinical
Pharmacy.Valid UAE pharmacy licensure (DHA) or eligibility for l
icensure.Postgraduate residency (PGY1/PGY2) or fellowship in clinical pharmacy, pharmacy administration, or a related speciality p
referred.Board Certification (e.g., BPS in Pharmacotherapy, Oncology, or Critical Care) p
referred.
PROFESSIONAL E
XPERIENCE:
Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, including at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role within a tertiary care or academic medi
cal center.Knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice across acute, ambulatory, and spec
ialty care.Knowledge of pharmacy automation, informatics, and computerized physician order entry (CPO
E) systems.Knowledge of JCIA, DHA, and global accreditation standards relevant to pharmacy
operations.Skills in strategic planning, financial stewardship, and organizational d
evelopment.Skills in clinical governance, formulary management, and patient safe
ty systems.Skills in leadership, change management, and cross-functional col
laboration.Ability to foster innovation in pharmaceutical care, digital transformation, and precisio
n medicine.Ability to communicate fluently in English; Arabic proficiency
preferred.
