EMS Basic Educator - Arabic Speaker

Key Role

Provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS)-related basic academic/non-academic educational training, participates in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and related projects.

Role and Responsibilities

▪ Provides basic EMS training courses (BLS, Heartsaver CPR AED, AHDR, etc.).

▪ Professionally conduct the class in an effective learning environment for all students.

▪ Be prepared with all the materials before the class begins.

▪ Know the departmental policies involved in reporting/repairing/maintaining equipment and see that these policies are carried through.

▪ Keep accurate written records on attendance, tests, and work submitted by the students and submit them after each class.

▪ Monitors students’ use of supplies, materials, and equipment, and ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.

▪ Advises and counsels students and maintains appropriate advisement records on each student.

▪ Organize and conduct a start-up event for any EMS training events.

▪ Follows rules and regulations as described by the Education Department, and other policies and procedures established by National Ambulance.

▪ Will teach both didactic and clinical courses as assigned and perform other assignments required by accreditation.

▪ Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and closely monitoring the use of inventory items to prevent loss, damage, or theft.

▪ Implement all cleaning and disinfection-related policies and procedures for all educational equipment and materials.

▪ Perform other duties as assigned by the EMS Education Research Manager.
