Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

The General Practitioner - Paediatrics will provide high-quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. The role focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of common pediatric conditions in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting, ensuring care is delivered in line with clinical best practices and DOH Abu Dhabi regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary medical care to pediatric patients, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct routine pediatric assessments, follow-ups, and developmental monitoring.
• Manage minor pediatric emergencies and stabilize patients for referral when required.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with pediatric specialists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to clinical governance, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of internship and general practice training.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi GP license or eligibility without restrictions.
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric clinical practice.
• Strong communication skills and a patient- and family-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
