ICU Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly competent and compassionate ICU-experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for high-acuity patients in a home care setting. The nurse will be responsible for continuous monitoring, advanced assessments, and managing patients with complex medical conditions to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care at home.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients requiring ICU-level monitoring and intervention in a home care environment.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, including airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and hemodynamic evaluations.
• Manage advanced procedures and equipment, including:
• Oxygen therapy and high-flow devices
• BiPAP/CPAP support
• Tracheostomy care and suctioning (if applicable)
• PEG/NG tube feeding
• IV medication administration (as per DOH scope)
• Pain management and monitoring for clinical deterioration
• Implement individualized care plans as directed by treating physicians.
• Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Respond effectively to urgent or emergency situations with appropriate interventions.
• Educate patient and family on care routines, equipment use, safety measures, and emergency protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with DOH home care standards.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, and case managers.
• Ensure proper infection control and patient safety measures within the home setting.
• Provide emotional support and maintain professional, trust-based relationships with patients and families.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid DOH/HAAD Registered Nurse License (or eligibility).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical expertise in managing critically ill or medically complex patients.
• Proficient in using ICU-related equipment and handling emergency situations.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage high-acuity patients with minimal supervision.
• Compassionate, patient-centered, and able to manage stressful environments professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED9,000.00 per month
