This role is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with DOH/DHA and organization policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care, including pre‑operative preparation and post‑operative support.
• Assist surgeons intraoperatively, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and surgical safety protocols.
• Prepare, check, and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical status throughout surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation and update the EMR (electronic medical record) as required.
• Coordinate effectively with anesthesiology, surgical teams, and support staff to ensure smooth workflows.
• Participate in maintaining infection control standards and reinforcing patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license or DOH eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Theatre experience, preferably with Orthopedics experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS is an advantage.
