Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver

Location: Dammam
Position Type: Full-Time Live-In

A family based in Dammam is looking for a compassionate, experienced, and well-trained Personal Care Assistant/Caregiver for a 12-year-old girl diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. The caregiver will be responsible for providing complete day-to-day support, personal care, and assistance in all daily activities while ensuring the child’s comfort, safety, dignity, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide complete personal care assistance for the child
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Support mobility, positioning, transfers, and physical comfort
• Manage daily routines, therapy schedules, and activity planning
• Assist with medication administration as instructed by parents/doctors
• Monitor the child’s health condition and report any concerns immediately
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and patient-centered care
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the child’s personal environment
• Assist during hospital visits, therapy sessions, or outdoor activities if required
• Handle emergency situations calmly and responsibly
• Work closely with parents and follow family instructions carefully

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for children with special needs or neurological conditions, preferably Rett Syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, or similar conditions
• Training in caregiving, nursing assistance, special education support, or rehabilitation care is preferred
• Knowledge of feeding assistance, mobility support, and basic medical care
• Physically fit, patient, caring, and emotionally mature
• Ability to manage the child independently throughout the day
• Good communication skills and professional attitude
• CPR / First Aid certification is an added advantage
• Female or male caregiver may apply depending on family preference
