Pet Handler & Groomer – Job Description Position Summary

As we grow, we are looking to add a reliable, and experienced Pet Handler & Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling dogs and cats of different breeds and temperaments, assisting with grooming procedures, and ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and wellbeing of all pets in our care.

Key ResponsibilitiesPet Handling & Animal Care

• Safely handle and restrain pets during grooming, examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or aggressive behavior and report concerns to supervisors
• Assist with walking, feeding, cleaning, and basic daily care of hospitalized or boarded pets
• Maintain a calm and comfortable environment for animals

Grooming Duties

• Perform bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic grooming services
• Prepare pets before grooming procedures
• Maintain grooming equipment and ensure proper sanitation of tools and work areas
• Ensure pets are groomed according to owner instructions and breed standards when applicable

Cleaning & Hygiene

• Clean cages, grooming stations, kennels, and clinic/salon areas
• Follow infection control and hygiene protocols
• Properly dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness standards at all times

Client Service

• Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding grooming requirements and pet behavior
• Assist in scheduling or preparing pets for collection when required

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet handling or grooming preferred
• Comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Ability to safely restrain animals when necessary
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically able to lift and handle pets safely
• Passion for animal welfare and care

Pay: AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month
