Job Summary

Responsible for checking prescriptions, requesting of medicines to Pharmacy Store, entering of take home prescriptions segregating the prescriptions by financial category (i.e. ARM, OHG, EMO, Co., Co./Pay, Pay Patient, Take Home) and counting all the medicines given for the daily statistics.

Responsible for handling stocks, ensure that proper movement of stocks from Pharmacy Store to Inpatient Pharmacy and from Inpatient to Pharmacy or vice versa, Wards, Patients and other departments are properly handled

Major Duties and Responsibiliti**

1. esEnsures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinic

3. d.Ensures that all medicines are properly charged to patients through accurate checking of entries done by the Pharmacists and Clerks in the Ward
4. s.Ensures that patient’s departmental records are initiated and maintained as per established policies and procedure
5. s.Ensures that files pertaining to any recent memos, charging policies, list of companies contracted with the hospital and updated booklet of exclusion list are properly kept and file
6. d.Ensures that the flow of OPD prescriptions, take home prescriptions and some other requirements concerning Pharmacy are smoothly maintaine
7. d.Ensures that telephone calls are answered promptly and courteously, taking and relaying accurate and complete message

9. s.Ensures that requesting, receiving and accepting of deliveries from Pharmacy Store and some suppliers are properly requested, received and accepted in the computer syste
