Role Description This is a part-time, remote Freelance Psychiatrist role with flexible scheduling. The psychiatrist will provide virtual psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing medication management for individuals with a range of mental health conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, formulating treatment plans, conducting follow-up appointments via telehealth, and documenting all encounters in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. The role may involve working with adolescents, adults, or specialized populations depending on business needs and the psychiatrist’s expertise. The psychiatrist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals as appropriate, provide crisis management within defined protocols, and maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries. Administrative responsibilities include timely completion of notes, prescription management, and clear communication with care coordinators or referring providers when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, with the ability to conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage complex cases.
• Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions.
• Experience or interest in Adolescent Psychiatry and broader psychiatry practice across age groups, as appropriate to licensure and training.
• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD or DO) in relevant jurisdiction(s); board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry preferred.
• Previous experience providing telepsychiatry or remote psychiatric services is highly beneficial.
• Excellent clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and cultural competence skills, with a commitment to equitable, non-discriminatory care.
• Ability to work independently, manage a part-time caseload, and adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
