Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to oversee project cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance across construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cost control, budget management, forecasting, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems, procedures, and reporting processes.
• Prepare and update project budgets, cost plans, and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
• Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare detailed cost forecasts, including Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Track committed costs, actual expenditures, and projected costs.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to monitor purchase orders and material costs.
• Work closely with planning teams to align cost and project progress.
• Analyze cost deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and financial performance reviews.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier costs.
• Prepare cost variance reports comparing planned, actual, and forecasted costs.
• Monitor project cash flow and expenditure trends.
• Track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Identify potential cost overruns and project risks at an early stage.
• Maintain cost control registers and financial tracking records.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and project performance reports.
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and project closeout.
• Support cost-related claims and financial evaluations.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, and Site teams.
• Verify invoices and support reconciliation with the Finance Department.
• Assist Project Managers in budget planning and cost management.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor costs in coordination with Procurement.
• Ensure proper allocation of project costs to relevant cost codes.
• Monitor commitments versus actual expenditures.
• Manage the cost impact of project variations and change orders.
• Support subcontractor payment certifications and cost certification processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost control within construction projects.
• UAE construction industry experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Excellent understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost planning, and cost tracking.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and financial management skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and project stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management/reporting tools.

Pay: Up to AED18,000.00 per month
