Job Description Summary
The Senior CT Imaging Technologist obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses patient concerns as well as performs all advanced CT imaging procedures in accordance with established practices and procedures, to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and infection control standards and participates in training and development interns and junior staff
Operational Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform all the advanced CTC Cardiac and angiography CT imaging
- Performs stroke CT imaging and perfusion
- Review orders and pre scanning requisites
- Apply the current standards in radiology to review and protocol and to adjust parameters maintain safety and obtain better image quality to improve throughput
- Oversee the training and development of interns and junior technologist on advanced exams and procedures
- Participate in all areas activities to maintain efficient operation equipment calibration troubleshooting quality control supplies and any other operational activity assigned by the manager
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor Degree in Radiologic Science or Computed Tomography (CT) OR Master’s degree in Radiologic Science or Computed Tomography (CT) with a Minimum of 6 years' Computed Tomography (CT) experience
Professional Certifications Required
SCFHS Certification
Years of Experience
Minimum 8 years' experience in CT Imaging Technology
