Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary:
The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and plays a key role in providing excellent customer service in a veterinary clinic. This role involves managing appointments, handling client inquiries, coordinating with the medical team, and ensuring smooth front desk operations while maintaining a compassionate and professional environment for pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently
• Answer phone calls, emails, and messages in a timely manner
• Register new clients and update patient records accurately
• Handle billing, invoicing, and payment processing
• Provide basic information about clinic services, procedures, and policies
• Coordinate with veterinarians and nurses regarding appointments and patient flow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
• Manage medical files, reports, and documentation
• Assist with admissions and discharges of patients
• Follow up with clients for appointments, vaccinations, and treatments

Customer Service Duties

• Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Handle emergency cases calmly and direct them appropriately
• Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information
• Ensure a positive and supportive experience for pet owners

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or healthcare reception (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic computer and administrative skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Compassion and comfort working around animals

Working Conditions

• Front desk/clinic environment
