Job Title: Addiction Therapist (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Addiction Therapist to support individuals dealing with substance use and behavioral addictions. The therapist will provide virtual counseling sessions, help clients develop recovery strategies, and support long-term behavioral change.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct online therapy sessions for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions.
• Assess clients’ mental health, addiction history, and treatment needs.
• Develop personalized treatment and recovery plans.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and relapse prevention strategies.
• Support clients in identifying triggers and building healthy coping mechanisms.
• Monitor client progress and maintain accurate session notes and documentation.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals when necessary.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical practice during all client interactions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related field.
• Certification or training in Addiction Counseling / Substance Abuse Therapy is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in addiction treatment or counseling.
• Experience conducting online therapy sessions is an advantage.
• Strong communication and empathy skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in substance abuse recovery programs
• Knowledge of relapse prevention techniques
• Familiarity with digital therapy platforms or telehealth tools
• Experience working with diverse populations and behavioral addictions
