Works under the supervision of licensed psychologists and plays a supporting role in providing psychological services to clients or patients.

  • Conducts assessments, screenings, and standardized tests to gather data about patients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

    • Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
  • Assists in the implementation of therapeutic interventions and treatment plans designed by senior psychologists.

  • Provides emotional support, psychoeducation, and counseling to patients or clients under the guidance and supervision of a licensed psychologist.

  • Assists in research projects, data collection, and statistical analysis related to psychological studies or clinical trials.

  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

    • Assists in the facilitation of group therapy sessions or support groups as part of the treatment plan.
  • Contributes to community outreach programs, workshops, or seminars to promote mental health awareness and education.

  • Stays updated with the latest research, therapies, and techniques in the field of psychology through continuous learning and training.

  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

  • To follow appropriate international guidelines, DOH regulations and Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field from a recognized institution.

    • Licensure as an Assistant Psychologist or Psychological Assistant, by Department of Health, Abu Dhabi .
    • Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Empathy and a compassionate approach to patient care.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Compliance with ethical guidelines and patient confidentiality standards.
    • Proficiency in Arabic and English preferred.
    • Any additional certifications or training relevant to the specific role or patient population may be an advantage.
    • Strictly adheres to organization’s regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, OSHAD, DOH, JCI and ISO.
