Educations and Certificates:

  • Master’s degree in nursing, or a related field. A clinical background in rehabilitation or geriatric care is preferred.
  • Current and valid professional nursing license (SCFHS license or eligibility).

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical operations within rehabilitation, LTC, or integrated care settings.
  • Demonstrated track record in program development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with budgeting, resource planning, staffing, and capital projects.
  • Certification in healthcare management or comparable credentials are advantageous.

  • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and change-management capabilities.
  • Excellent clinical and operational governance knowledge; familiarity with rehab modalities, restorative nursing, geriatric care standards, and LTC best practices.
  • Advanced data analytics, performance measurement, and utilization management skills.
  • Leadership excellence: people development, conflict resolution, collaboration across disciplines, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and risk management processes.
  • Proficiency in health informatics, EHR systems, and digital quality tools.

  2. GENERAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Provide strategic leadership for clinical operations across rehabilitation and LTC services.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care, safety, and patient/family engagement.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and care pathways.
  • Lead quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety programs.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation; drive cost-effective care.
  • Collaborate with Nursing, Dietitian/Nutrition, Ambulance Services, Social Work, and Case Management to coordinate care.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness; oversee audits and corrective actions.
  • Oversee program development, service line expansion, and innovative care models.
  • Represent clinical operations in executive leadership discussions, governance forums, and community partnerships.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, research, and evidence-based practice.
  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct daily operations to meet clinical quality and safety targets, patient experience goals, and financial performance.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team rounds, care planning, and discharge planning activities.
  • Establish and monitor clinical performance indicators, dashboards, and accountability structures.
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration to optimize patient flow, bed management, and reduced readmissions.
  • Ensure proper credentialing, staff competencies, continuing education, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Lead the coordination with ambulance services for timely transport and critical care support as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships, supply chain for clinical equipment, and nutrition/dietary resources.
  • Drive population health initiatives and transition-of-care programs.
