Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, and GI cancers.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP, ensuring adherence to international safety standards.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as imaging, biopsies, and motility studies to guide treatment plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and procedural interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, and oncologists for comprehensive patient care.
• Provide consultation services to other physicians and inpatient units for complex GI cases.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and training of junior medical staff.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification or fellowship training in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
• Valid license to practice in the UAE or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum 5–8 years of post-specialization experience in gastroenterology, including advanced endoscopic procedures.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and commitment to continuous professional development.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and modern diagnostic technologies.
