Dermatology Nurse W/ MOH

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

Conduct initial patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting concerns.

Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care, skin health, and preventive measures.

Assist in diagnosing and managing skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

1. Assisting Procedures:

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for medical and cosmetic procedures.

Support dermatologists during procedures such as biopsies, excisions, laser treatments, and chemical peels.

Administer cosmetic treatments like Botox, fillers, and microneedling under the supervision of a dermatologist.

1. Clinical Support:

Perform routine dermatological tasks, including wound care, dressing changes, and suture removal.

Monitor patient progress and document clinical findings.

Handle emergency situations appropriately and promptly.

1. Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits.

Stay up-to-date on dermatology trends, techniques, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) and relevant certifications.

Experience in dermatology or cosmetic nursing is preferred.

Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, conditions, and treatments.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

This role typically operates in dermatology clinics, cosmetic centers, or medical spas, with a mix of patient interaction and administrative tasks. Flexible hours may be required, including weekends or evenings, based on patient needs.
