Diesel Mechanic - Truck and heavy-duty vehicle

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our Workshop. The successful candidate will specialize in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of diesel engines commonly found in trucks, buses, heavy equipment, and generators.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic & Repair

• Diagnose sound and vibration issues from various vehicle components
• Identify and replace damaged suspension system parts including leaf springs, shock absorbers, and bushes
• Investigate overheating causes through inspection of coolant pumps, radiators, thermostats, head gaskets, and related components

Technical Expertise

• Perform complete engine and transmission overhauls (Automatic, I-shift & Manual)
• Operate truck and equipment diagnostic tools effectively
• Identify and repair faults in steering systems, transmissions, and differentials

Additional Duties

• Complete routine maintenance reports for machinery
• Handle all related paperwork and documentation requirements
• Maintain daily housekeeping standards in workshop areas

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• High School diploma, Trade School certification, or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must be fluent in English (read, write, speak)
• Working knowledge of local regulations

Experience

• 10+ years, experience in Volvo, Mercedes, Renault, Scania, etc.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with mechanical inspection tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong technical understanding and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills
• Knowledge of tooling, supply management, and inventory control
• Dependable with thoroughness in work approach

Safety Requirements

• Adhere to all company safety instructions and protocols
• Maintain general housekeeping standards daily
• Report all accidents and incidents immediately to direct supervisor

Supervision

This position supervises Mechanic Helpers and works closely with the Workshop Engineer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
