DOH-General Practitioner

Job Summary

The General Practitioner (GP) will be responsible for providing primary medical care and emergency response services at the project site. The role involves ensuring the health and safety of all site employees, managing medical records, implementing health programs, and coordinating with external healthcare facilities when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line medical care for employees, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and illnesses.
• Handle medical emergencies and ensure timely stabilization and referral to higher medical facilities when necessary.
• Conduct daily medical rounds and maintain availability for consultation during site operational hours.
• Maintain and update medical records, patient registers, and health reports as per company and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs in coordination with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) teams.
• Conduct periodic health checks, wellness campaigns, and health awareness sessions for employees.
• Ensure that the site clinic and medical equipment are adequately stocked, functional, and compliant with local health authority standards.
• Prepare and submit incident and medical reports to management and concerned authorities when required.
• Liaise with local hospitals and emergency services to facilitate efficient patient referrals.
• Stay updated with DOH/DHA/MOH regulations and ensure the clinic’s compliance with all licensing and documentation requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized university.
• Valid UAE medical license (DOH / DHA / MOH) to practice as a General Practitioner.
• Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational or site-based healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medicine, occupational health, and first aid procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial project sites.
• Certification in BLS / ACLS (Basic & Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
• Familiarity with incident reporting systems and HSE protocols.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
