The Finance Director will provide strategic financial leadership across the rehabilitation and long-term care programs, overseeing financial planning, performance management, and governance. The role is responsible for safeguarding financial integrity, shaping strategic decision-making, and driving sustainable, cost-efficient growth across operations. The Finance Director partners closely with executive leadership and clinical stakeholders to align financial strategy with organizational objectives and patient care outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep healthcare finance expertise with strong leadership capability, advanced regulatory and compliance knowledge, and experience operating in complex, high-growth healthcare environments.
JOB SCOPE
The Finance Director leads all financial activities including oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and capital allocation. The role is accountable for the integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, robust variance analysis, and forward-looking financial modelling to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
Key responsibilities include leading the development of annual budgets and multi-year financial plans aligned with organizational strategy, monitoring liquidity and cash flow, and overseeing capital expenditure planning and execution. The Finance Director ensures optimisation of revenue cycle performance, including billing accuracy, coding compliance, and reimbursement maximisation across government payers, private insurers, and managed care providers.
The role partners with clinical and operational leadership to align financial performance with clinical outcomes, ensures the design and effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard company assets, and drives continuous process improvement across procurement, payroll, and vendor management functions.
The Finance Director leads and develops the finance team, manages relationships with external auditors, lenders, and advisors, and presents financial performance, key risks, and strategic insights to executive leadership, Board committees, and shareholders.
In addition, the role plays a central role in strategic initiatives, including facility expansion, new service line development, financing transactions, while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory, financial reporting, and data privacy requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educations and Certificates:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master’s degree and/or professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience within the healthcare sector, preferably in hospital businesses in KSA.
- Strong experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement processes across government and private payers.
- Demonstrated track record in budgeting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and financial reporting within multi-site or multi-entity organizations.
SKILLS AND PORFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls framework, and enterprise risk management principles.
- Proficiency in ERP and financial systems (SAP, Oracle, others) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint Word).
- Understanding of payer contracts and payer reconciliation.
- Advance capabilities in financial modeling, scenario planning, cost optimization, and performance analytics.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations, data privacy laws and compliance frameworks.

- Professional proficiency in written, spoken, and reading Arabic and English
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but Not Limited To)
GENERAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Ensure financial integrity through the implementation and maintenance of robust internal control environments and audit readiness.
- Partner with clinical and operational leadership to support value-based care delivery and efficient resource utilisation.
- Lead, develop, and mentor finance team members, fostering a high-performance and continuous learning culture.
- Manage relationships with auditors, lenders, investors, and regulatory stakeholders, as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare management, board, and shareholder reporting packs.
- Monitor and optimise cash flow, working capital (including AR/AP performance), and capital expenditure governance.
- Oversee cost accounting, activity-based costing, and variance analysis by program and site.
- Lead reimbursement optimisation initiatives, including payer contract negotiations, and billing performance monitoring.
- Implement and monitor policies for procurement, payroll, and vendor management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, data privacy requirements, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Drive operational and financial process improvements through lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Support strategic initiatives including M&A transactions, facility expansions, service line development, and post-acquisition integration.
- Develop, monitor, and continuously enhance financial and operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with organisational performance objectives.
