Key Responsibilities: 1.Leads, plans, guides and oversees the development and implementation of the organization-wide strategic plan, objectives and initiatives. 2.Plans and supports the cascading of the KSUMC strategic plan and the development of aligned departmental strategies. 3.Accountable for ensuring and carrying out periodic follow-up on the implementation of strategic goals and objectives. 4.Plans and leads analytical, comparative, benchmarking and business studies to support the planning phase of the organizational strategic plan and ensure its alignment with overarching national and international standards and legislations. 5.Guides the organization in all of its strategic, operational, tactical and project-planning phases by furnishing national and international evidence for decision makers. 6.Oversees the successful achievement of organizational and departmental strategic & operational initiatives, and accurate reporting on their progress, highlighting poor performance and remedial action. 7.Report regularly to the Chief Strategic Planning Officer (CSPO) on the accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives, suggesting action plan for improvement and leads plan updates and modifications accordingly. 8.Responsible for gathering, analysing, monitoring and reporting internal and external data and statistics in order to facilitate leaders in decision-making. 9.capital resources among initiatives. 10.Oversees the definition of quality standards and the compliance of initiatives to already defined quality standards. 11.Provides general administrative support, including coordinating and follow-up with department staff to expedite action on the various matter assigned within the department. 12.Manages and oversees the resolution of initiative risks, issues and change requests while escalating major matters to KSUMC CSPO. 13.Communicates and consults with internal and external entities in the strategic planning process. 14.Leads the organization-wide communication regarding the achievement of strategic and operational plans. 15.Oversees the timely development, implementation & updating of key policies and SOPs; approves all new and existing policies related to the section. 16.Ensures smooth section functioning, actively addresses issues and problems, guides section supervisors’ performance and concerns. 17.Represents the section on organizational platforms, taskforces and committees when needed. 18.Responsible for developing and improving work methods and procedures for the section. 19.Evaluates and manages the performance and professional development of subordinates according to the performance appraisal policy and initiate corrective action plans as necessary. 20.Motivates department staff to increase their performance productivity and improvement. 21.Approves related Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for evaluation and development of the department. 22.Leads quality improvement initiatives and continuously applies quality improvement tools and techniques to achieve desired outcomes. 23.Develops, implements and manages work-related and training goals of reporting supervisors/subordinates. 24.Organizes and provides education and training activities for unit staff as required. 25.Writes an official delegation of all responsibilities and assignments prior to leave / vacation. 26.Performs other job related duties as assigned as per to the policy within the entity assigned. Qualification: Essential: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management Information System, Statistics, Health Science, Health and Hospital Management or equivalent related field. Preferred: Master Degree in Business Administration, Management Information System, Statistics, Health Science, Health and Hospital Management or equivalent related field. Experience: Bachelor: Ten (10) years work experience in administrative, planning including four (4) years work experience at managerial role. Master: Eight (8) years work experience in administrative, planning including Four (4) years work experience at managerial role.
