Job Summary

The Internal Medicine Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to adult patients by diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic illnesses. The role requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while communicating effectively with Arabic- and English-speaking patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary medical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of internal medicine conditions in adult patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, examinations, and medical history reviews
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures
• Provide inpatient and outpatient medical care as per hospital requirements
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care clearly to patients and families in Arabic and English
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as scheduled
• Adhere to clinical governance, infection control, and patient safety policies
• Participate in continuous medical education, audits, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (MD, MRCP, Arab Board, American Board, or equivalent)
• Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing (QCHP / DHA / DOH / SCFHS or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably within Doha, Qatar (depending on Specialist or Consultant level).
• Previous experience in hospital or multispecialty settings preferred
