Job Description Summary

The IR Imaging Technologist obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses patient concerns as well as performs and assist radiologists ,under minimal supervision, in the diagnosis and treatment of patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures in accordance with established practices and procedures, to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and infection control standards and participates in training and development, quality control and management of supplies

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist radiologists under minimal supervision advanced diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional radiology procedures including vascular and nonvascular procedures utilizing angiography ultrasound and other imaging modalities
  • Oversee the training and development of interns and junior technologist on advanced exams and procedures
  • Apply the current standards in radiology and infection control to maintain the safety of staff and patients
  • Participate in all areas activities to maintain efficient operation equipment calibration troubleshooting quality control supplies and any other operational activity assigned by the manager

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor Degree in Radiologic Science OR Master’s degree in Radiologic Science with 2 years' IR Imaging experience

Professional Certifications Required

SCFHS Certification

Years of Experience

Minimum 4 years' clinical experience

Languages

English:Advanced ; Arabic:Basic
