Lactation Consultant

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Lactation Consultant to support new mothers and their babies throughout their breastfeeding journey. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on guidance, emotional support, and evidence-based lactation care in a warm and professional manner. You will work closely with doctors, nurses, and families to ensure mothers feel confident and supported during the postnatal period.

Key Responsibilities

• Support mothers with breastfeeding techniques, positioning, and latching.
• Assess and address common breastfeeding concerns such as low milk supply, engorgement, sore nipples, and feeding difficulties.
• Provide one-on-one counseling and education to mothers and families.
• Develop personalized feeding plans based on the needs of both mother and baby.
• Assist mothers with breast pump usage and milk storage guidance.
• Work collaboratively with maternity, NICU, pediatric, and nursing teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Promote breastfeeding awareness and best practices within the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or a related healthcare field.
• IBCLC certification preferred.
• DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility is required.
• 3+ years of experience in maternity, neonatal, or lactation support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
