Neurology Technician

Job Summary
Carries out all Neurological diagnostic procedures in Physiological Testing as ordered by Physician following the department policies and procedures. Directly supervised by Physiological Testing Supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Care Hospitals and Clinics.
- Follows procedures of EEG’s as ordered by referring Physician and nerve conduction study, EMG, ABR, Evoke Potential.
- Maintains the area and keep equipment in working order.
- Logging of data, typing of results, filling of reports and EEG tracings.
- Conducts work in a professional manner and maintains patient/staff confidentiality.
- Follows all department policies and procedures.
- Participates in on-going education program developed by the department, e.g. Department Policy and Procedure, Fire Safety, Risk Management, Environmental Control.
- Complies with hospital dress code.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
Qualifications
Education
A minimum of:
- Bachelor/Associate of degree or college diploma in healthcare related field from an accredited institution.
- Registered EEG Technician with a completed training program
- Valid license of specialty from Saudi Council.
- Valid Basic Life support certificate.
Experience :
- Required
Post qualification experience of 1-3 years related to job.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
- Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Friendly, flexible, patient and courteous.
- Communicates well in both written and verbal English.
- Communication in Arabic is preferred.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable in computer applications.
