Role Description The Nurse In Charge Medical Center role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ajman. The role is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and clinical standards. Day-to-day tasks include supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient flow, managing shift schedules, and supporting the implementation of clinical protocols and infection control measures. The Nurse In Charge will collaborate with physicians, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to optimize patient services, support accreditation and licensing requirements, and promote continuous quality improvement. The role also involves mentoring team members, handling incident reporting, and contributing to staff training and development.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong clinical nursing skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and hands-on delivery of nursing care.
- Candidates should possess leadership and supervisory skills, such as team coordination, performance oversight, and staff mentoring.
- Candidates should possess skills in healthcare operations and administration, including workflow management, documentation, and resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of healthcare quality and safety standards, including infection control, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients and families respectfully.
- Candidates should hold a valid nursing qualification (Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing) and an active professional license eligible for practice in the UAE.
- Prior experience in a charge nurse, head nurse, or similar leadership role in a medical center or hospital is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with UAE healthcare authorities (such as DHA, MOH, HAAD, DHCC) and their licensing and accreditation requirements is an advantage.
- Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills and clinical information systems, with a strong focus on accurate record-keeping.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and ongoing professional development is expected.
