Job Overview
The role is responsible to process payroll and employee related expenses. It also covers to deduct outstanding balances of employees when required. Furthermore, need to ensure that all the payments are complying with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable government regulations. The role is multi-faceted that involves transactions for Executive Level colleagues, employee organizational transformation/severance payments and requires input from multiple stakeholders. Employee is required to have in-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Payments
- Responsible for the timely payroll processing in line with UAE Labour Laws.
- Responsible for reviewing employees’ payments such as airfare, leave salary and HRA.
- Responsible for processing pension payment in align with GCC regulations.
- Processing of end of service benefits to all separated employees in accordance with UAE Labour Laws.
- Processing of monthly overtime of eligible employees and in accordance with UAE Labour Laws.
- Processing end of annual bonus payouts, mid-year merit increases and other employee incentives.
- Squaring up of balances appearing in the general ledger.
- To provide annual submission of census report to the insurer.
- Administer employee related personal leave adjustments on monthly basis.
Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for payroll related queries of employees and employee verification queries of banks.
- Timely submission of tax invoices to Principals.
- Prior to process monthly Principals’ payroll require to communicate, validate inputs and confirmation from them.
- Liaise with HR and Admin Department regarding appointments, terminations, remuneration, conditions of service and other relevant matters.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors in providing the information requested in due course.
Governance
- Ensures payroll processing and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles and applicable government regulations.
- End of service calculation based on the law of Market for the impacted team members
- Identify opportunities for and implement continuous improvement and transformational projects that requires payroll data inputs.
- Participate in projects and initiatives as and when opportunities arise
