The role ensures contracts adhere to NMC standard terms. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders to support efficient contract review and legal approval through internal documentation and process.

  • Draft, review, and finalise a wide range of commercial contracts on both NMC and counterparty template, while always ensuring alignment with NMC standards, including:

  • Supplier and Procurement Agreements

  • Service Level Agreements

  • NDAs and Confidentiality Agreements

  • Memoranda of Understanding

  • Willingness to upskill on contractual legal matters and develop drafting ability

  • Support the team where required to streamline processes and maximise the efficiency of legal review and approval

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and support the team on day‑to‑day contractual matters and queries

Maintain current knowledge of alterations and introductions of new UAE laws

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, or Business Administration, or a related field

Knowledge and Skills

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Sound commercial judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • High working proficiency in spoken and written Arabic desirable (but not essential)
  • Strong communicator, presenter and collaborator
  • Good working knowledge of UAE laws, including ADGM laws (or ability and willingness to quickly upskill on these)
  • Awareness of key issues in commercial contracts
  • Highly organized and goal oriented, with a can-do attitude
  • High proficiency with MS Office
  • Healthcare industry experience helpful (but not essential)
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-cultural, multi-stakeholder large corporate environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of contracts
  • Experience using contract management systems and AI solution tools is an advantage (or ability and willingness to quickly upskill on these)
  • Experience
  • 2-7 years in contract review and drafting, preferably within a Procurement or Legal function
  • Experience working in-house, or law firm and/or within healthcare is advantageous

UAE or wider GCC work experience preferred (but not essential)
