The Doris Duan-Young Autism Center (DDY) is a multidisciplinary center in Dubai Healthcare City that offers innovative and evidence-based programs and services backed by industry credentials, accreditations, and certifications. DDY is now looking for more young, vibrant, and dynamic professionals to be part of its growing team.

About the role

  • Carries out the assessment for children with determination within the service in relation to communication need using assessment tools as required by the child, making use of senior support as required.
  • Formulates interventions plans from a thorough assessment with children with determination and their family and caregivers as required to bring about positive change to their communication skills and through that develop their opportunities to access, and engage in a range of life experiences.
  • To make positive use of clinical supervision to develop and quality check decisions made.
  • To access and utilize the most contemporary relevant research and evidence base to support decision-making in the clinical setting.
  • To ensure that support is sought as required to ensure that theory and practice are interlinked.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology or any related field
  • Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology will be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years of work experience as an SLT Therapist working with children of determination who has communication disorders
  • Preferably DHA license or DHA Eligibility letter holder
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in both Arabic & English (for Arabic Speech and Language Therapist)
  • Passionate and caring individuals, who love to work with children
  • Detailed oriented, flexible, and team working enthusiast
