Support Engineer

HIS Support Engineer (Junior – ASP.NET Developer) Location: Dubai Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: 1–3 years Department: IT - Healthcare Information Systems Reports To: IT Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled HIS Support Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to support and enhance our Hospital Information System (Mediware - HIS) and related clinical applications. The candidate should have a strong understanding of hospital workflows and hands-on experience with ASP.NET and SQL Server to assist in system customization, troubleshooting, and implementation across departments. Key Responsibilities: • Provide level 1 technical support and troubleshooting for Mediware HIS modules such as OP/IP Registration, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and EMR. • Assist in system implementation, configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and modules. • Analyze functional requirements from clinical and administrative teams and translate them into technical specifications. • Develop, modify, and maintain ASP.NET-based forms, modules, and reports as per user needs. • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data reporting and analysis. • Coordinate with external vendors or the development team for escalated issues and product enhancements. • Conduct user training and ensure end-user adoption and satisfaction. • Maintain documentation for issue tracking, configurations, and change management. • Ensure system uptime, data security, and compliance with hospital IT and data protection policies, standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 1–3 years of experience in HIS support, healthcare IT. • Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL Server. • Understanding of hospital processes and workflows across various departments. • Familiarity with Windows Server, IIS, and application deployment. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with both IT and clinical teams. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of Mediware HIS • Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON/XML data formats.
