Assistant Art Director

Key Responsibilities: Creative & Conceptual:

Support the Art Director in conceptualizing and executing the visual tone, theme, and style for films, series, commercials, and digital productions.

Assist in creating mood boards, concept sketches, set layouts, and 3D visualizations that align with the director’s vision.

Production & Coordination:
Supervise the construction and dressing of sets, ensuring design accuracy, material quality, and on-time execution.

Liaise between departments — including costume, lighting, camera, and props — to maintain visual consistency and harmony across scenes.

Manage on-set art requirements and make real-time creative adjustments during shooting.

Design & Detailing: Oversee graphic design elements such as posters, signage, and digital backdrops used within scenes. Source, curate, and manage props and décor materials in coordination with the art and props teams.

Administrative & Team Support:
Prepare and maintain art department budgets, schedules, and material lists.
Support vendor management and coordinate logistics for set fabrication, design materials, and location prep.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Production Design, or a related creative field.

2–5 years of relevant experience in film, television, or media production art departments.

Strong artistic sensibility with excellent understanding of color theory, spatial design, and visual storytelling.

Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar visualization software.

Ability to interpret scripts and convert creative briefs into strong visual plans.

Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills.

Flexible to work in high-pressure production environments and meet tight deadlines.

Candidate should be in UAE.
