DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the staff nurse.

  • Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance.
  • Assist with patient’s hygiene, elimination, and mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse.
  • Obtain patient’s height and weight measurement.
  • Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit.
  • Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.
  • Transporting specimens to laboratory.
  • Act a messenger as required.
  • Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.
  • Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.
  • Participates in any scheduled educational activities

• Measure and record patients’ height and weight.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the unit, including patients’ rooms.
• Assist in maintaining supply and storage areas.
• Transport specimens to the laboratory as required.
• Act as a messenger when needed.
• Escort patients to and from the Radiology Department as directed by the nurse on duty.
• Assist nursing staff in preparing and cleaning patients’ rooms for admission and discharge.
• Participate in scheduled educational and training activities.

QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS

• High school graduate.
• Intermediate English skills preferred; spoken Arabic is advantageous.
• Demonstrates motivation to work in a healthcare environment.
