Job Description

Role Purpose:

To design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services across multi-cloud environments. The Cloud Platform Engineer ensures scalable, secure, and cost-efficient operations leveraging GCP and OCI platforms. This role is critical to modernizing Bupa Arabia’s infrastructure through automation, observability, and adherence to security and compliance standards.

Key Accountabilities:

1-Design and Implementation:

Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure across GCP and OCI.

2-Automation and Optimization:

Automate provisioning and management using Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud SDK; implement CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

3-Security and Compliance:

Apply and maintain IAM policies, encryption, and security configurations in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

4-Monitoring and Reliability:

Implement observability tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus) to monitor availability, cost, and performance.

5-Collaboration and Support:

Partner with application, security, and operations teams to enable cloud-native architectures and resolve incidents.

6-Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with cloud advancements and recommend new tools and practices to improve infrastructure efficiency.

Skills

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, VPC design, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and cost optimization tools.
• GCP or OCI certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect Professional) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
