Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist based in Dubai. The consultant will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including outpatient clinics, inpatient management, antenatal and postnatal care, and gynecologic assessments and procedures. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and managing pregnancies and reproductive health conditions, performing and overseeing obstetric and gynecologic interventions aligned with applicable clinical guidelines, and ensuring safe, person-centered care. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, participation in case discussions, and contribution to clinical quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. The consultant will also support documentation, adherence to local regulatory requirements, and patient education on reproductive and maternal health.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynecology, including antenatal care, labor and delivery management, gynecologic diagnostics, and common procedures.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based practice skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and emergencies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a culturally diverse environment.
• Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, and accurate medical documentation in line with regulatory and institutional standards.
• Recognized medical degree and completion of specialist training in obstetrics and gynecology (board certification or equivalent), with eligibility for licensing under Dubai healthcare authorities (DHA, MOH, HAAD, or DHCC).
• Previous experience in hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology at consultant or senior specialist level; experience in Dubai or the wider GCC region is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on-site, adapt to organizational protocols, and contribute to teaching or mentoring of junior clinical staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and openness to integrating new clinical guidelines, technologies, and service models.
