Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist – Abu Dhabi

Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine and metabolic disorders in infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage pediatric endocrine disorders including diabetes (Type 1 & Type 2), growth disorders, thyroid diseases, puberty disorders, adrenal and pituitary conditions.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for pediatric endocrine patients.
  • Manage complex cases such as short stature, delayed or precocious puberty, and congenital endocrine disorders.
  • Develop individualized long-term treatment and follow-up plans for pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, dietitians, and other subspecialties.
  • Educate families and caregivers regarding disease management and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary pediatric endocrine clinics and diabetes programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
  • Board Certification / Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Board, or equivalent).
  • Valid DOH Consultant or Specialist License / Eligibility in Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Minimum 3–7 years of post-specialist experience in a tertiary care or academic hospital.
  • Strong expertise in pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders.
  • Excellent communication and family counseling skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in pediatric diabetes technology (insulin pumps, CGM systems).
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary pediatric endocrine clinics.
  • Research or academic background is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural healthcare environment.
