Demand Planning Manager

Job Overview

The Demand Planning Manager plays a critical role in ensuring efficient inventory management and accurate forecasting for MPC Healthcare. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and expertise in managing supply chain processes. The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for utilizing systems such as Slim4 and SAP to place orders, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams. This role also focuses on improving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and reducing stock aging and expiry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Slim4 System to ensure all orders are placed with principals according to the Slim4 suggestions.
• Oversee the preparation of suggested orders in line with agreed-upon forecasts and communicate them promptly to suppliers.
• Ensure optimal inventory control to achieve the highest levels of efficiency.
• Regularly solve supply chain problems and make decisions in the best interest of the company.
• Initiate and drive KPIs for continuous improvement within the team, ensuring common objectives are met.
• Maintain and implement key processes and tools for proactive tracking and reporting.
• Monitor and adhere to KPIs, including forecast accuracy, inventory optimization in line with principal contracts, and reducing stock aging and expiry.
• Coordinate purchasing procedures across various divisions and suppliers.
• Suggest and communicate any changes to the Supply Chain Director.
• Meet and communicate with suppliers, sales directors, planners, and PAMS regarding stock orders and liquidation plans.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and other business partners.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve shared business goals.
• Participate in team meetings, contributing to ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Recognize and appreciate the accomplishments of team members, fostering a positive, participative team culture.
• Provide training and support to new team members on Slim4 and SAP systems.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Strong understanding of demand planning systems such as Slim4 and SAP.
• Proven experience in optimizing inventory, improving forecast accuracy, and reducing stock aging.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with suppliers.
• Ability to lead and manage KPIs, working towards continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI reports (Preferably)
