Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Senior Executive Manager of Enterprise Architecture leads the definition, governance, and execution of the enterprise technology blueprint that aligns business strategy with scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This role owns the target-state architecture, roadmaps, standards, and reference patterns across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud. Partnering with senior business and technology leaders, the role ensures investments drive measurable outcomes—reducing technical debt, accelerating delivery, and improving reliability, security, and total cost of ownership.

Key Accountabilities:

1- Enterprise Architecture Strategy;

  • Operate architecture governance (ARBs/Design Reviews), balancing speed with risk management.
  • Establish architecture policies, classifications, and traceability from business capabilities to technology assets.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to product and engineering teams; review high-risk/complex designs.
  • Ensure end-to-end non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, performance, observability) are met.
  • Champion architecture runway and evolutionary design in agile at scale.

2- Target State and Road mapping;

  • Create target-state architectures and multi-horizon roadmaps (near/mid/long term) across domains.
  • Align product/platform roadmaps with enterprise standards and modernization priorities.
  • Drive deprecation plans for legacy technologies and define transition architectures.

3- Portfolio Rationalization and Modernization;

  • Lead application and platform rationalization, consolidation, and reuse strategies.
  • Quantify and reduce technical debt; set modernization priorities (rehost/refactor/replatform/replace/retire).
  • Optimize TCO and resilience, leveraging cloud-native services where appropriate.

4- Process and Tooling;

  • Maintain capability maps, application and interface inventories, and architecture decision records (ADRs).
  • Publish and maintain reference architectures, golden paths, and approved technology stacks.
  • Curate pattern catalogs and accelerators (templates, IaC modules, CI/CD pipelines) to speed delivery.

Skills

  • Expertise in industry-standard frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF, and modeling languages like ArchiMate or BPMN.
  • Proficiency in designing and managing cloud architectures across platforms like AWS, Azure, Oracle and GCP, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, containerization (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Deep understanding of integration patterns (APIs, SOA, microservices, event-driven architecture) to connect disparate systems and modernize legacy environments.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, ETL processes, data governance, and analytics platforms, including AI/ML implementation patterns.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, troubleshoot technical/business issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical teams and C-level executives, build consensus, and manage expectations across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed environments, lead and mentor teams, negotiate effectively, and influence decision-making.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on both short term and long-term strategic planning
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate in both (Arabic/English) if preferred
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Adherence to SAMA and NCA frameworks
  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or any other related certificate
