Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
• Assist with any necessary animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer.
• Keep accurate records of grooming services performed on each pet, including any special instructions or observations for future visits.

Skills

• Proficiency in pet grooming techniques for various breeds.
• Strong dog handling skills with experience in animal care and restraint.
• Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is highly desirable.
• Experience with equine care is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
• Knowledge of pet care practices including feeding, bathing, and general maintenance of pet hygiene.
• Previous kennel experience is beneficial for understanding animal behavior in a professional setting.
