Head Nurse

ABOUT THE COMPANY

As part of our expansion to the heart of the Middle East, we are looking for experienced "Head Nurse" to join our team. He/She will direct and supervises activities, interprets & implement policies, procedures and standards as per the DHA regulations and other regulatory authorities accreditation body as appropriate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Ensures to implement DHA policies and communicating all the circulars from DHA portal on regular basis.
• Directs and supervises Nursing services personnel within the Clinic in accordance with the governmental bodies (DHA) and other regulatory standards.
• Prepares work schedules and assigns personnel.
• Conducts daily inspection of assigned patient care areas for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, infection control and risk management standards, and takes corrective actions/ makes recommendations where violations occur in order to remedy the situation.
• Evaluates work performance and makes recommendations.
• Directs maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies and materials to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
• Ensures adequate supply of consumable and non-consumable items for Nursing & Medical department through a systematic inventory and ordering process.
• Establish and maintain inventories of equipment and other supplies and ensures that par levels are controlled & maintained.
• Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients in accordance with Clinic standards.
• Ensures accurate maintenance of patients medical records and confidentiality of information contained therein.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the Nursing department and maintains appropriate records and statistics.
• Formulates departmental monthly reports.
• Conducts Nursing Management meetings and other meetings as required and participates on committees as requested.
• Ensure a high standard of infection control and the prevention of all avoidable healthcare associated infection in the department.
• Complete and maintain the competency portfolio within the allocated time frames and ensure that all other clinical training requirements are fulfilled according to local requirements and the department training calendar.
• Ensure with that all objectives and any actions identified for the department are agreed with the Chief Medical Director and must be documented, implemented and reviewed on a timely basis.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Director & General Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 5 year (s) experience in Nursing department in Aesthetic Clinic in Dubai.
• 2 years head nurse experience in Dubai.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions that impact the company's bottom line.
• Should have expert management, administration and planning skills ability to manage and evaluate nursing staff.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in mufti-tasking and handling stressful situations.
• Talent for negotiation and collaboration.
• Good supervisory and delegation skills in order to lead and direct nursing staff.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Ability to assist the nurses and manage the team properly by motivating the employees to work.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and knowledge about aesthetic procedures/services.
• Good pleasing personality with excellent communication, planning, organization, interpersonal and presentation skills.
