Role Overview

The Trainee – Financial Planning & Performance will support the Planning & Reporting team. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to core financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting activities. The trainee will assist in executing day-to-day processes and will develop a strong foundation in financial analysis and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly Forecast & OPEX Reporting

• Assist in collecting and organizing actual financial data from Financial Reporting and Commercial teams.

• Support data validation and alignment checks against the income statement.

• Help input and maintain data in forecasting model templates monthly.

• Assist in consolidating data into the central forecast model and preparing draft outputs for review.

Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

• Support the preparation and distribution of AOP submission templates to departments.

• Assist in consolidating departmental inputs into the central AOP model.

• Help reconcile AOP submissions against historical actuals and latest forecasts.

• Track outstanding submissions and follow up with departments on missing or incomplete data.

• Assist in preparing review materials and presentation decks for senior leadership sessions.

Skills

• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data organization).

• Basic familiarity with Power BI or a willingness to learn.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
