Medical Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests that support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, confidentiality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Match computer orders with specimen labeling and ensure accurate specimen handling.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and quality control checks.
• Monitor quality control measures and ensure compliance with approved testing procedures.
• Identify and report abnormal patient results or critical findings to supervisory staff, physicians, nurses, pathologists, or relevant authorities as required.
• Perform toxicology testing, including drug screens, blood alcohol levels, and carbon monoxide levels.
• Operate chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, immunology, and microbiology testing equipment.
• Conduct blood bank procedures, including blood typing, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and antibody identification.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, patient packets, and blood bank databases.
• Ensure patient information and laboratory results are kept strictly confidential.
• Follow hospital policies, professional standards, infection control requirements, safety procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and secure laboratory environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory testing and laboratory procedures.
• Experience in areas such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, toxicology, or blood bank services is preferred.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in line with current policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of infection control, laboratory safety, quality control, and healthcare regulations.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
