Job Description Summary
Technical position responsible for the dignified, safe, and hygienic operation of the hospital mortuary. Ensures strict adherence to MOH infection control protocols, maintains the physical chain of custody for deceased patients, and manages environmental safety standards within the cold storage facility.

- Receive bodies from clinical wards, verifying "Dual Identifier" tags and documenting chain of custody in the Morgue Register
- Monitor and record temperature and humidity levels of cold chambers based on policies and procedures; report deviations immediately
- Coordinate terminal cleaning and disinfection of storage units, hydraulic lifts, and surfaces using hospital-grade agents
- Apply specific MOH precautions (shrouding/bagging) for High-Risk Infectious bodies (e.g., COVID-19, MERS)
- Assist forensic authorities with body identification and sample preservation when police cases occur
- Physically release bodies to families or municipality services
Minimum Education Required
Diploma or Associate Degree

Valid SCFHS Registration
Years of Experience
0-2 years of experience in health care.
