NURSE ASSISTANT LOCAL HIRE

Job Title: Nurse Assistant

Reports To: Registered Nurse / Nursing Supervisor
Location: Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Measure, record, and report patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose as assigned.
• Observe and promptly report changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the supervising Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, ambulation, and prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide skin care and assist in preventing pressure injuries through regular repositioning and monitoring.
• Assist with wound care and dressing changes as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and safe..
• Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Respond appropriately to patient calls and emergency situations.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Registered Nurse or Nursing Supervisor within the approved scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Nursing Assistant, Assistant Nursing, Practical Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience as a Nurse Assistant or Assistant Nurse.
• Eligible to meet the licensing requirements of the Qatar Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), where applicable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
