Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Nutrition Sales Consultant to combine expert-level nutrition and meal planning knowledge with strong sales and customer relationship skills. This role is crucial in educating potential clients about the life-changing benefits of our personalized meal and nutrition programs, enrolling them in the best-fit plan, and ensuring their long-term satisfaction and adherence. The ideal candidate will be a persuasive communicator, an empathetic listener, and a passionate advocate for health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Act as the primary sales consultant for prospective clients, conducting consultations to deeply understand their health goals, dietary needs, budget, and lifestyle.
  • Clearly and persuasively present the value proposition of our meal planning and nutrition programs, demonstrating how our services solve their unique challenges.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for new client enrollments and revenue generation.
  • Follow up on leads promptly, nurturing prospects through the sales pipeline from initial contact to enrollment.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling premium meal plans, additional nutritional products, or longer-term subscription services to existing clients.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage all sales activities, track customer interactions, and generate sales reports and forecasts.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional events, such as health fairs, webinars, and in-store demonstrations, to generate new leads.

Meal Planning & Client Consultation:

  • Perform initial nutritional assessments to gather detailed information on clients’ health history, body metrics, lab work (if applicable), and dietary preferences.
  • Develop and customize evidence-based, safe, and effective meal plans and nutrition strategies tailored to individual client goals (e.g., weight management, sports performance, medical conditions).
  • Provide ongoing, personalized coaching, counseling, and motivational interviewing to support client adherence to their meal plans.
  • Monitor client progress and proactively adjust meal plans as needed to ensure optimal results and satisfaction.
  • Educate clients on nutritional science, portion control, healthy cooking techniques, and grocery shopping to promote sustainable lifestyle changes.

Customer Relationship & Retention:

  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to foster loyalty and maximize client lifetime value.
  • Respond to client inquiries, concerns, and feedback regarding their meal plans and subscriptions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a client advocate to ensure a seamless service delivery experience.
  • Identify at-risk clients and implement retention strategies to reduce churn.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Science, or a related field is required.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential preferred, but strong sales experience with a relevant degree
  • At least 3 years of Proven track record of success in a sales, consultative, preferably in the health, wellness, food service, or fitness industry.
  • Deep understanding of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and meal planning software.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to be persuasive and empathetic.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a pipeline of leads and a caseload of clients.
