Orthopedic specialist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Orthopedic Specialist to join our clinic in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions while providing high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations and clinical best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, sports injuries, spine conditions, arthritis, and trauma
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Perform minor orthopedic procedures and refer for surgical interventions when required
• Prescribe medications, physical therapy, braces, and other non-surgical treatments in accordance with DOH guidelines
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in line with clinic policies and DOH standards
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, injury prevention, and post-treatment care
• Adhere to ethical standards, patient safety, infection control, and clinic protocols
• Participate in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Postgraduate qualification in Orthopedics (MS, MD, DNB, or equivalent)
• Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) License or Eligibility is mandatory
• Minimum relevant clinical experience as per DOH requirements
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are an advantage)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience working in the UAE or GCC healthcare system
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Patient-focused approach with a strong commitment to quality care
