Job Scope:

Procurement Officer plays a vital role in managing the purchasing activities of an organization. Responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.

Educations and Certificates

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain management, or a related field.

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in the Healthcare Sector or a related field, with a proven track record of success in procurement.
• Strong on negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus

• Procurement Strategies: Understanding and developing effective procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes, minimize costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Supplier Management: Knowledge of sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and delivery speed. Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Contract Negotiation: Proficiency in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions that benefit the organization.
• Compliance and Regulations: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Market Analysis: Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and assess market conditions to make informed procurement decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Procurement Software: Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing processes, manage supplier relationships, and track procurement activities.
• Cost Management: Knowledge of cost analysis techniques, budgeting, and financial principles to identify cost-saving opportunities, implement cost reduction initiatives, and contribute to the organization's financial objectives.

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery speed.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve procurement processes.
